Nature Walk: Blistered navel lichen

During the nature walk, I found an interesting type of lichen whihc reminded me of some algae growing on rocks by the sea.
I found the name of the lichen I picked up, but it's not that that specific type would have different quilities than those you find about the thousands of species of lichen. So here is my paper:

The "systems map", if it is unclear, shows the symbiosis of the algae and the fungus.
The fungus, which protects the algae from ultraviolet radiation, takes nutrients out of the ground it grows on. This allows the algae to grow. Through photosynthesis the algae returns nutrients to the fungus.
